1. Introduction & Core Commitment
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application Restovue — Photo Enhancer (the "Application"), developed and published by NextGen TechEdge Solutions Private Limited ("we", "us", or "our").
Restovue was designed from the ground up as a privacy-first, offline photo editing tool. We believe that your personal photographs, family memories, portraits, and documents should remain entirely under your personal control.
2. Local On-Device Image Processing
All photo adjustments, artistic filters, cropping, resizing, retouching, healing, clone stamping, and file compression operations are executed solely through on-device graphics APIs and native Android libraries (such as Jetpack Compose, Kotlin coroutines, and local image rendering pipelines).
- We do not operate cloud editing servers for Restovue.
- We do not utilize cloud-based facial recognition, remote biometrics, or remote image classification.
- We do not use your photographs to train machine learning models.
3. Android Permissions & Data Access
To function as an image editor, Restovue requests access only to the minimal device capabilities necessary to read the photo you select and save your edited output:
-
Photo & Media Access (
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES/READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required strictly to allow you to browse and open photographs from your device storage using the Android Photo Picker or Storage Access Framework. Restovue only reads files that you explicitly choose. -
Write Storage (
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGEon Android 9 and below): Required solely on older Android versions to save exported images into your public Pictures or DCIM gallery folder. On Android 10+, Restovue uses MediaStore scoped storage APIs which do not require broad write permissions. - Camera Permission (Optional): If you choose to take a photo directly within the app rather than choosing an existing gallery image, camera access is requested at runtime. Images captured are immediately stored locally on your device.
4. Data Collection, Analytics & Diagnostics
Restovue does not require you to create an account, log in with an email address, or provide any personal profile information.
To maintain software stability, diagnose unexpected crashes, and optimize device compatibility across diverse Android hardware, Restovue may utilize standard Google Play Services diagnostics and anonymous crash reports (such as Firebase Crashlytics or Google Play Vitals).
These diagnostic records include purely technical, non-identifying telemetry:
- Device model, manufacturer, and screen resolution
- Android operating system version and build number
- App launch timestamps and general session duration
- Crash stack traces and memory exception logs
Diagnostic reports never contain image pixels, file names, EXIF location metadata, or personal identifiers.
5. Third-Party Services & Zero Data Selling
We strictly adhere to ethical data practices:
- We do NOT sell, rent, monetize, or trade user data or photographs to third-party data brokers, advertisers, or affiliates.
- We do not use advertising tracking SDKs or cross-app identifier networks.
- External links: If you choose to open links to external websites (such as the developer website or Google Play Store), those sites operate under their respective privacy policies.
6. Data Retention & User Deletion Requests
Because your photographs and editing projects are stored locally on your device, you maintain full control over data retention:
- Deleting a photo from your device's gallery permanently removes it.
- Uninstalling Restovue removes any temporary application cache files stored in its private app sandbox.
If you have contacted our developer support team via email and wish to request the deletion of your correspondence or support records, you may email us at info@nextgentechedge.com with the subject line "Restovue Data Deletion Request". We will process and confirm deletion within thirty (30) business days.
7. Children's Privacy
Restovue is a general-purpose image editing utility and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly to this webpage with an updated Effective Date. We encourage users to review this page periodically.
